CREMATION ASHES DISPERSAL: E-mail dated 23 Oct 2000, from Timothy O'Brien, he stated, "Jenni and I finally spread my dad's ashes up in the gorge by where I had spread my mom's ashes about 14 years ago. It really did help give us some closure, since we have been putting it off for over a year. The funny thing was, I still hadn't gotten up the energy to call the crematorium and this guy pulls up on a beautiful Sunday morning in an old Corvette with the top down. I was out working in the front yard and had no idea who he was. He walks up with a gift bag in hand and gives it to me. I still had no idea who he was or what he was bringing. Then he says that he is from Autumn Funeral and Cremation and had lost our phone number from when we moved. He decided that we might want to do something with the ashes since it was such a beautiful day. It worked out very well actually, Jenni and I grabbed the dogs and got a last minute baby sitter for Cooper. We hiked 2.5 miles straight uphill to a place called "Angels Rest" in the Columbia gorge. We couldn't have picked a better day; the leaves were just starting to turn for fall and it was a sunny crisp fall day (about 65 degrees.)
