Anne Christensen

Lauritz and Anine (Raun) Christensen had one child, Anna Sophia, born 15 May 1910 in Omaha. She was baptized on Sunday, 26 June 1910 at the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church (known today as Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church).

Not liking her baptized name, Anna Sophia came to call herself Anne Belle Christensen, which became her official name. Anne grew up in the Christensen home at 1469 Phelps Street. The household included for a time, Ruby, who was Lauritz’s stepdaughter from his second marriage.

Anne made occasional trips to Sheridan, Wyoming, to visit her half-sister Carrie and her family. Here she is photographed in 1924 with her nephew, Harold O'Brien. Both were born in 1910.
