Neff Family Photograph

Family of Philipp Neff, circa spring 1906

This photograph of the Neff family was taken in New Orleans, Louisiana, some time in the spring of 1906. The occasion for the photograph was the visit of Philipp Neff's niece, Julia (Villhard) Crossmyer and her new husband Wilbert E. Crossmyer. Julia was the daughter of Philipp Neff's sister, Elisabeth (Neff) Villhard, of Illinois. The photograph may have been taken in the side yard of the home of Philipp Neff at 3107 Dauphine Street. The identifications in the photograph were made by family members who were in the photograph, Irma (Landwehr) Doerries and Anna (Neff) Broadbridge. The only family members not in the photograph were Louis Neff and his wife, Johanna Waldow Neff.
