000614 - Jee - The Rev. Raymond Ginn Kiung Jee, Sr., a retired Baptist minister and Clerk for The Selective Service System, died Monday of lung cancer at his home. He was 79. The Rev. Jee was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 40 years. He attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Tulane University. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a former Superintendant for the New Orleans Baptist Rescue Mission, a commercial fisherman and a partner in Crescent City Builders, Inc. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 175, Jacques De Molay Lodge No. 389 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6640. Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Leonard Jee; a son Raymond K. Jee, Jr.; four brothers, Russell Ginn Lung Jee, Rolland Ginn Ing Jee, Bernard Ginn Que Jee and Donald Ginn Sing Jee; three sisters, Rubye Toy Wun Jee Baum, Lorraine Toy Yoke Jee Tedesco and Gloria Toy Gim Jee Joe; and four grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 2:30 P.M. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Burial will be in Hope Mausoleum. He was a veteran of the Korean War and World War II. He was a retired Vice President of Hayes/Dockside Inc. He was a former Chairman of the Brechtel Park Commission, a past President of the St. Andrew The Apostle Parish Elders Organization, a former Board Member of the New Orleans Parkway and Park Commission, a volunteer at University Hospital and a member of the World Trade Club, New Orleans Traffic Club and Lotus Club. Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Mcloughlin Mcginn; two Sons, J. Patrick Mcginn of Lake Charles and J. Leonhard Mcginn Jr.; a Daughter, Melissa Mcginn Lacroix of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Gerard F. Mcginn; and seven Grandchildren.
