Note: The obituary was reviewed and transcribed, no copy made. Death of Capt. A. P. Boardman. This veteran and popular commander, we are pained to record, departed this life yesterday morning. He died of apoplexy, in the 60th year of his age. He has been long connected with the Lake trade, and has recently commanded the steamer Camelia, running to the watering places. None knew him but to repsect him, and thousands who have traveled with him to and fro across the Lake will regret his sudden demise.

On Tuesday morning, August 7, at halfpast 2 o'clock of apoplexy, Capt. A. P. Boardman, in the 60th year of his age, a native of Massachusetts and a resident of this city for the last thirty-five years. His friends and those of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, which will take place from his late residence, 158 Clio Street at 4 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 8th inst. Boston, Cambridge and Ipswich (Mass.) papers will please copy.DEATH:

Note: This information states "(Capt.) A. P. Boardman, born about 1806 (60 years old at death), died Aug. 7, 1866 (ref. TP 8/8/1866, p. 4, col., 3, Daily Crescent 8/8/66, p. 4, col., 5, lived in New Orleans, La., about 35 years at 158 Clio St. (notice requested Boston, Cambridge and Ipswich, Mass., papers copy.) This Capt. Boardman was the father of Capt. William Tyler Boardman. Newspaper accounts referred to 'Capt. & Mrs. A. P. Boardman, however her maiden name and other information has not, as yet, been determined. (1/83).'"
