Postcard received in New Orleans on June 20, 1964
(Norm mailed June 17, Peoria, Illinois)

Dear All,              6-17-64
Things are looking up today.
We were really down for a
while, but some wonderful
folks in Peoria, Illinois
helped us out. A girl from
CTC heard our announcement
on the radio and called
home. (Carol Sprehe) Her
family asked us for dinner
and to stay overnight. Ron
and I went; Les stayed
with the raft. Mr. Sprehe
helped much and so did
a friend of his, Mr. Fritch.
We hope to reach the Miss. R.
on Sat. Then St. Louis by Sun.
or Mon. Still hoping to
make it all the way. Maybe
I'll call from St. Louis? All
is well—don't worry about
nothin'.      Love, Norm
