George Henry Kendrick, Sr., of Slidell, LA on Saturday, March 4, 2006, in Galveston, TX. Beloved husband of Jane Dering Kendrick. Father of George H. Kendrick, Jr., Norman J. Kendrick and Cherie Kendrick Cabos. Son of the late James and Clara Campell Kendrick. Brother of James Kendrick and the late Deborah Kendrick. Also survived by 5 grandchildren: Christopher Edward Cabos, Steven Marcel Cabos, Jacob Henry Cabos, Ryan Werling Cabos and Tyler Jordan Kendrick. Age 62 years. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA for the past 26 years.

Mr. Kendrick was retired entrepreneur, Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Vietnam, member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 697 in New Orleans, member of the Krewe of Bilge and Dionysius and was King of Dionysus in 1995.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services at Honaker Funeral Home,1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA on Friday, March 10, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday evening from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. and on Friday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
