John Massey died June 29, 2010. The obituary below appeared in The Times-Picayune of July 6, 2010. John Joseph Massey "Mr. John", age 69, of Pensacola, Fl., passed away June 29, 2010. Mr. John was born and raised in New Orleans. His heart was always in the French Quarter. He served one tour in the Navy. Preceded in death by his first son Johnny Massey II. Survivors include his loving children, son, Dale Massey, Virginia Beach, daughter, Edith Reber and son-in-law, Jason Reber, Pensacola, Fl.; loving grandchildren include Luke Massey, Gracie Massey, Emberly Reber, Adrianna Reber; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Mr. John made many people smile and laugh with his charm. He loved to share his wonderful stories. He also loved to cook, travel and spend time with his family. Services will be held in St. Louis Cathedral on 7/7/2010 at 12 pm.  |
