A. "Jack" Varnado
Jack Varnado was sitting on his front doorsteps—minding his own business—when Carol Katsanis drove into his life. She was on her way to see Class of ’61 classmate Priscilla Champagne when she spied Jack and blew her car horn. He waved her over, and Jack’s life was never the same. They had more than 45 years together. Jack died November 22, 2008, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He made it to our picnic on October 26, 2008; it was one of his goals.
