June Marie Byers died January 29, 2000.

Marie Byers, a model and dance teacher, died Saturday of liver disease
at Meadowcrest Hospital. She was 56. Miss Byers was born in
Madisonville and lived in Terrytown for 32 years. She attended
Louisiana State University and St. John's University, where she
received a certificate of kinesiology. She was a member of Touch for
Health Association. Survivors include her father, Robert Byers; her
mother, Adele Radford Byers; and two brothers, Robert E. and Larry
Byers.
A funeral will be held today at noon at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral
Home, 527 Elysian Fields Ave. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial
will be in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
