BIOGRAPHY
Linda Ann Gaudet Walker

I knew I wanted to become a physical education teacher. Sports were always high on my list in school. Dressing out in those blue gym suit bloomers...........wow!!!!!! I was in heaven. But that wasn't meant to be. Instead, I followed my heart and married Perry Walker in 1962. We've been married 46 years and have one daughter, Rhonda, who is 43 years old. She has not married, so I have only a “grand puppy.”

Life has been a glorious adventure and I have been very fortunate to get into a business that has provided well for me. I own and operate a “personnel recruiting firm,” which specializes in the placement of property/casualty insurance candidates. At age 65 I'm still working and find it hard to consider retirement. I love working.

I never gave up sports. I still love playing tennis. I try to play at least 2 or 3 times a week. In my younger days (last year), I wasn't that bad. Now that I have my “golden ticket” (Medicare card), it seems that when I play, everything hurts for a few days.

We live in Slidell, where our personal and professional lives were both affected by Hurricane Katrina, but we have now regained a sense of normalcy.

Life certainly has had its ups and downs but laughter keeps me going; Perry and Rhonda keep me sane; tennis keeps me in shape (ha); and memories warm my heart.
