Notes: The Concordia Historical Institute provides the following information
on the Rev. Otto Wismar:
William Otto Wismar was born in Chicago (d. 1965). He graduated from
Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in 1910, and was ordained at Mt. Calvary
Lutheran Church, New Orleans, on August 28, 1910. From 1917 to 1918
he served as a chaplain. In 1921 he joined the faculty of St. Paul's
College, Concordia, Missouri. He became the pastor of Grace Lutheran
Church, Los Angeles, in 1926. His collection at CHI contains correspondence,
personal files, and class notes.
