Identification: The Rev. Karl Bernhard Edmund Bohm. Notes:
The Rev. Edmund Bohm was Director of St. Matthew Academy in Manhattan,
New York. G. J. Wegener attended the Academy from September 1875 to
June 1879. In his autobiography, Wegener referred to Pastor Bohm as "my
never-to-be-forgotten Director Edmund Bohm." After Wegener's time
there, the Academy became the beginning of the "Concordia Collegiate
Institute" of Bronxville, New York, which today is Concordia College -
New York. Bohm was its first president. Taken at Hagelstein Bros., Photographers, 142 Bowery, New York. An image of the back of the photograph can be found here.
