WEGENER PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM

The Wegener Photograph Album was apparently created by Carl Wegener some time while he was in high school or college. It appears that Carl gathered some old photographs of the family, glued them in an album, and then began gathering photographs that documented his life and others in the Wegener family. In addition to Wegener family members, the photos documented Carl's friends, his college classmates and their travels, a trip with Elmer Groth to the "wheatfields," a Walther League convention in Chattanooga, and scenes at what was known as Camp Mandeville.

The "album," no longer bound together, consists of 32 separate pages. Both sides were used, meaning there are 64 pages of pictures. The pages are 12 inches wide by 10 inches high. The page order is no longer clear, so the pages have been arranged in approximate chronological order.

For each page there is a larger image. To look at each individual page, click on the image below. For each page there are identification notes, many of which were provided by Meta Wegener Hellmers before her death in December 2004. Suggestions and comments are always welcome.
