M. J. HELLMERS PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM

The M. J. Hellmers Photograph Album was created by Milton J. Hellmers and his wife, Juanita C. Neff Hellmers of New Orleans, Louisiana. The album primarily consists of photographs of Milton and Juanita when they were first going together, at the time of their marriage, and soon thereafter. Many of the pictures were taken with a camera that Milton Hellmers purchased and . . .    Memphis . . .

The album, now in poor condition with many of the pages loose, consists of __ pages. Both sides were used, meaning there are __ pages of pictures. The pages are __ inches wide by 10.__ inches high. The pictures were not placed in the album in strict chronological order.

For each page there is a larger image. To look at each individual page, click on the image below. For each page there are identification notes, provided by Norman D. Hellmers. Assistance with identification of many of the Memphis pictures came from Bette Hunter Coatney, whose grandmother, Lenora Blanche Joeckel, was among the circle of young people who welcomed Milton Hellmers during his stay in Memphis. Suggestions and comments are always welcome.
